Yes Sunday was Mothers Day. But we did not buy anything for mum.
It was a time to teach our little ones that mum valued housework. So mum had to sit down and have everything done for her (except breastfeeding our son of course because none of us has a dairy). We cooked her breakfast - she had it in bed. We cleaned our rooms, and did the dishes. We cooked for mum too and were always handy each time she wanted a coffee. Yes that lady drinks coffee - the de-caf. one. It's as if she compensates for a lack of alcohol in her blood by drinking the coffee.
At the end of day we had some friends around to see the young Patrick - the Machingarufus (Tafadzwa and Family, Florence and family and Taka and family) and we also had the pleasure of the company of Elvis near the end. What a blessing it is to have wonderful friends around.
